Fibreglass Pool Installation
Installing a fibreglass pool is a carefully planned process that requires accurate excavation, a stable foundation, correct plumbing, and precise backfilling to ensure the pool performs reliably for decades. The installation begins with surveying and setting out the pool location before excavating the site to the required dimensions. A compacted bedding material is then installed and levelled to create a stable base for the fibreglass shell.
Once the shell is lowered into position, it is checked for level and alignment before plumbing connections are made to the skimmer, main drain, return lines, and any additional features such as spa jets, water features, or in-floor cleaning systems. The pool is then filled with water while the surrounding area is backfilled in stages, ensuring the water level and backfill height remain balanced to support the shell evenly and prevent movement.
After the shell is secured, the filtration equipment, pump, filter, chlorinator, heating system, and automation are installed and connected. Coping, paving, or surrounding concrete is then completed, followed by commissioning the equipment, balancing the water chemistry, and testing every component to ensure the system operates correctly.
Concrete Pool Installation
A concrete pool is built on-site, offering complete design flexibility and the ability to create custom shapes, sizes, depths, and finishes. The construction process begins with surveying and setting out the pool before the site is excavated to the engineered dimensions. Steel reinforcement is then installed throughout the pool structure to provide the strength required to withstand ground and water pressures.
Once the reinforcing steel and plumbing have been positioned, high-strength sprayed or poured concrete is applied to form the pool shell. After the concrete has cured, waterproofing and the chosen interior finish—such as plaster, quartz, pebble, or tiles—is applied to create a durable, watertight surface.
The filtration equipment, including the pump, filter, sanitising system, heating, automation, and any additional features such as spas, water features, or in-floor cleaning systems, are then installed and connected. Coping, paving, landscaping, and surrounding concrete are completed before the pool is filled, the equipment is commissioned, and the water chemistry is balanced.
